From water-sports like surfing and kayaking, to outdoor activities such as cycling and horse-riding, to chill days hanging out at any of our stunning local beaches, there's so much to see and do when you're staying in Tramore. We've compiled a list of our top attractions and activities for tourists and day-trippers alike.
1. Water-sports

Tramore beach is famous for surfing, but adrenaline junkies can equally try their hand at other water-sports such as ocean kayaking, wind-surfing, and kite-surfing.
Check out any of our many local water-sports centres to plan your next adventure.
2. Horse-riding

Tramore is home to some of truly fantastic spots to experience on horseback. Whether it's galloping along the miles-long Tramore beach or taking in the idyllic green countryside of Ballyscanlon Lough and Fenor Village, there are plenty of scenic spots to check out with friends or family.
Horse-lovers can book one- or two-hour treks with Lake Tour Stables, a family-owned business that caters to all levels of expertise and which is situated a five minute drive from the centre of Tramore.

3. Tramore Amusements

Ideal for families with kids of all ages, Tramore Amusement Park is situated on the beach promenade and is home to many rides, arcade games, and food stalls.

4. Grab a pint (or two) at one of Tramore's great pubs

Recently renovated, The Ritz pub has become a favourite of locals and tourists alike. With its spacious, well-lit beer garden and traditional-Irish interior, the Ritz is the perfect spot to hang out and grab a pint of local craft beer or a tasty homemade burger during their summer barbecues.
5. Hang out at the beach

Last but not least, Tramore's most famous attraction is, of course, its magnificent beach. Whether it's a long hike to and from the sand dunes or a lazy afternoon spent eating ice-cream by the prom, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Want to hang out somewhere a little more remote? Then why not visit one of the many rural beaches dotted along Waterford's scenic Copper Coast such as Kilfarassy or Bonmahon, both easily reachable by car from Tramore's town centre.
